Shopify store speed · Core Web Vitals · fixed in code

Shopify store speed scan: your store is losing orders in the first three seconds. Find out how many.

Paste your store URL. In about ten seconds we read the page your customers get on a phone — theme, scripts, apps, fonts, server time — and show you what is holding it back. No email, no queue.

The cost of slow · your numbers

What is a slow page costing you every month?

Four sliders. The model is published research, the numbers are yours, and nothing leaves your browser.

What we actually fix

Speed is a code problem. We fix it in the code.

No speed app, no plugin that minifies around the problem. Six places where Shopify stores lose their Core Web Vitals, and what we do in each.

01

Theme JavaScript

Render-blocking scripts moved or removed, unused sections and app blocks deleted, the rest deferred so the page paints before it thinks.

LCP · TBT
02

App and script cleanup

Every third-party script mapped to the app that owns it. Code left behind by uninstalled apps removed at theme level; live apps loaded only on the pages where they do something.

TBT · INP
03

Images and media

Correct srcset and sizes, width and height on everything, the hero preloaded and the rest lazy. Poster frames instead of autoplay video where video costs the LCP.

LCP · CLS
04

Fonts and CSS

Subset, self-hosted fonts with a proper fallback; critical CSS inlined; the nine font weights nobody uses gone.

FCP · CLS
05

Tags and tracking

Analytics, pixels and chat delayed until the visitor moves, consolidated where two tags do one job, and measured for what they still cost afterwards.

TBT · INP
06

Collections, search and cart

Section rendering, pagination and filter apps tuned so the pages that make the money are as quick as the homepage.

How the five weeks run

Audit first. Numbers in writing before any code changes.

You see the target score for each page type, what changes and what does not, and the fixed price, before anything is touched.

Week 1

Audit

Real-device Core Web Vitals on home, collection, product and cart. Every script mapped to its owner. A fix list ranked by milliseconds saved. Yours to keep.

Week 1

Fix plan and price

Target scores per page type, what changes and what does not, fixed price. In writing within 12 hours of the call.

Weeks 2–3

Cleanup and refactor

App and script removal, theme JavaScript refactored in a duplicate theme, weekly demo on a preview link.

Week 4

Media, fonts, CSS, tags

Image and font pipelines, critical CSS, tag delay. Tested on real phones on a 4G profile, not only in a lab.

Week 5

Launch and 14 days of monitoring

One publish in a quiet hour you pick, then two weeks against Chrome's real-user data, with fixes included if anything regresses.

Questions

Asked before the call, answered here.

How is this different from a speed app?

A speed app adds one more script to a page that already has too many, then minifies or lazy-loads around the problem. We remove the problem: dead code from apps you uninstalled, render-blocking theme JavaScript, unsized images, twelve font weights where three are used. When we are done nothing new runs on the page.

How long does it take, and is the store ever down?

Three to five weeks. All work happens in a duplicate of your live theme; you review each weekly demo on a preview link and we publish once, in a quiet hour you choose. Nothing is down at any point.

Will you break my apps or change my design?

No design changes without asking, and no app that does a job is removed. What goes is the code apps leave behind and the scripts that load on pages where they do nothing. Every change is tested on real phones before it ships, and the previous theme stays one click away.

What score will I end up with?

Most stores go from the 20s and 40s on mobile into the 70 to 90 range, with LCP under 2.5 seconds on the pages that matter: home, collection, product, cart. We quote the target for your store after the audit, in writing, and we measure it in Chrome's real-user data, not just a lab run.

What if the theme itself is the problem?

Then you hear that in week one, with the two honest options priced: a targeted refactor of the heaviest sections, or a rebuild on a lighter base. You keep the audit either way.

What does it cost?

Speed engagements typically land between $3,000 and $9,000, fixed after the audit. Focused work on a single problem starts at $2,500. The number goes in writing within 12 hours of the call and does not move.
