Founder’s note
A note from the founder on how we work, and why it is this way.
From Aqsa Shahzad, founder of Aqsa Shahzad Official LLC. Five minutes, no pitch deck: why the engineer who builds your store is the one on the call, why the price is fixed before work starts, and what you can hold us to.

When you book a call with us, you get me or one of the engineers who will build your store. Not a salesperson, and not an account manager who takes notes and relays them to someone you never meet.
I set the studio up this way because I had watched the other model from both sides: the client who explains the same problem three times, and the developer who gets the brief second-hand and builds the wrong thing well. Both of them are doing their jobs. The structure is what fails.
It costs us something. Senior engineers on sales calls are expensive, and it means we take on fewer projects than an agency our size normally would. It is still the right trade, because of what it does to the scope.
The scope is accurate because the person writing it is the person who has to deliver it.
Why senior-only
Every engineer here has seven or more years on Shopify. We do not hire juniors and bill them as seniors, and we do not run a bench of generalists who split the week between WordPress, a mobile app and your checkout. We build on Shopify and Shopify Plus, and nothing else. When a project is not Shopify work, we say so on the first call and point you to someone who does it well.
That focus is why the numbers on this site look the way they do: 400+ stores shipped, more than $120m in GMV through stores we built, an average of eight weeks from kickoff to launch on Plus. None of those are ambitions. They are what happens when the same small group does the same kind of work for years.
Why the price is fixed before we start
Hourly billing rewards slow work. The longer a project drags, the more the invoice grows, and nobody on the agency side has a reason to fix that. So we do not bill that way. After the audit you get one number, a written scope and milestone billing tied to deliverables. If we mis-estimated, that is our problem, not yours — which makes us careful in the audit, and that is exactly the point.
The same goes for retainers. 92% of the brands on one renew, and none of them are locked in. If a month of work is not worth the fee, you should be able to leave. That is what keeps us honest about what runs each month.
What you can hold us to
Four things, and you are welcome to quote them back to us:
- A written reply to every enquiry within 12 hours.
- Scope and price agreed in writing before any work starts.
- The engineer who builds your store is the one on your calls and in your Slack.
- Performance measured in production, on real devices — never a staging-URL score.
What we are not
We are not the cheapest option, and we are not the biggest. If the job is a small theme fix, we will tell you and suggest somewhere cheaper. We do not do WordPress. And we do not promise a launch date until we have seen your data and your integrations, because a date is only worth something if it holds.
What the first call is like
One call, no deck. Bring your store URL and the thing that is bothering you — a checkout that leaks, a migration you are nervous about, a theme that has become impossible to change. We will look at it together, tell you what we would do and roughly what it costs, and then put it in writing. If we are not the right fit, you will hear that from us on the same call.
