About the role

Full-Stack Developer (AI-First) at a Shopify Select Partner, onsite in Lahore.

Full-time · Engineering · reports to the founder.

The studio builds more than storefronts: custom Shopify apps, integrations, internal dashboards, and the calculators, scanners and audit tools on our own site. This role builds that software end to end, front end, API, database and deployment, with AI doing much of the typing and you doing the thinking, the reviewing and the testing.

We want someone whose way of working has already changed because of AI: who can brief Claude precisely, split a problem into steps an agent can carry out, check every line that comes back, and recognise the moment to put the tool down and write the code by hand.

What you will do

The work, week to week.

Six things this role owns. The proportions shift with the projects; the standard does not.

  1. Build features end to end

Next.js or React Router front ends, Node APIs, Postgres or MySQL, and deployment on Vercel or a VPS, from the first commit to production.

  2. Ship with AI every day

Claude Code, Claude in the browser, Cursor or Copilot and the APIs behind them, used to plan, write, test and refactor faster, with every change reviewed before it merges.

  3. Put AI inside the products

Features that call the Claude and OpenAI APIs: structured outputs, tool use and retrieval over a client’s own data, with costs, limits and failures handled.

  4. Connect Shopify to everything else

Admin and Storefront GraphQL, webhooks and Functions, plus links to ERPs, CRMs, n8n workflows and analytics.

  5. Automate the studio’s own work

Scripts, agents and n8n flows that take repetitive work off the team: reports, audits, content pipelines and QA checks.

  6. Leave work others can pick up

Tests where they pay for themselves, short READMEs and decision notes, so the next developer, or the next AI session, can carry on.

What you bring

What we look for, and what is a bonus.

Show us the work rather than telling us about it: a link beats a paragraph.

  1. Three or more years of full-stack work in production

TypeScript or JavaScript across the stack, a modern React framework, Node, SQL and Git, and at least one product you built that real users depend on.

  2. Genuine mastery of AI coding tools

You use Claude (Claude Code or the API) and other AI tools daily, can show things you shipped with them, and can explain how you prompt, review and test what they produce.

  3. Judgement over volume

You can tell when generated code is wrong, insecure or slow, and you keep a codebase clean instead of letting it fill with half-checked suggestions.

  4. API and data sense

REST and GraphQL, webhooks, auth, rate limits and retries; you have connected two systems and kept them in agreement.

  5. Clear written English

Specs, prompts, pull-request notes and client updates that other people can act on without a meeting.

Nice to have: Shopify app or theme development · n8n, Make or Zapier automations · MCP servers or agent frameworks · Python for data work and scripting · a public GitHub with recent AI-assisted work.

How we hire

Five steps, each of them in writing.

Two to three weeks from application to offer.

  1. Apply through the portal

Ten minutes: CV, a link to your work, a short note on why this role. Every application is read by the person you would report to, not by a filter.

  2. Written reply within five working days

Shortlisted or not, you hear back in writing. Shortlisted candidates receive a short, role-specific task on realistic material.

  3. The task, reviewed together

Two to three hours of work, then a 30-minute review where you walk us through your decisions. We are hiring for judgement as much as output.

  4. Onsite interview in Johar Town

An hour at the studio with the founder and the lead you would work with: the work, the hours, the clients, your questions.

  5. Offer in writing

Role, compensation, working hours, probation and start date, all on one page before you decide.

Applications go through this portal only. Please do not book a call through the site’s Cal.com link: that calendar is for client projects, and a booking made by an applicant is cancelled without review. Send the form below; every application receives a written update by email within five working days, and shortlisted candidates are invited to the next step from there.
