Every “best Shopify Plus agencies” list you will find is written by an agency, and most of them were written from other lists. This one was compiled on 25 September 2026 from the agencies’ own websites: their contact pages for where they are, their About pages for when they started, their own badges for what Shopify tier they claim, and their own case-study pages for who they have built for. Nothing here comes from a directory, a review-site star count or a press release. Where an agency does not publish something, the table says so.
We are on the list too, at the end, described the same way and with the same rules. Check us against them.
Key takeaways
- Twelve agencies below hold page-one positions for “Shopify Plus development” and related searches in the US as of this month. They range from a nine-person specialist to multinational groups; the right one depends on your catalogue, your integrations and your budget, not on the badge.
- Only two of the thirteen publish what a build costs on their own site. Every other quote starts with a call. If you want a number before that call, use the Shopify Plus price calculator and read what Plus agencies charge.
- “Platinum”, “Premier” and “Plus Partner” are Shopify’s programme tiers, self-reported on each site. They tell you the agency has shipped Plus stores; they do not tell you which engineer will work on yours.
- Location matters less than time zone and the person on the call. Six of the twelve list offices on two continents; four are led from outside the US.
How we compared them
Each agency was checked on its own domain on 25 September 2026: the homepage, the contact page, the About page, the Shopify Plus service page and the case-study index. We recorded four things: where the agency says it is, when it says it started, which Shopify partner tier it states, and which clients it names on its own pages. We did not use Clutch, G2 or DesignRush ratings, because those are pay-to-feature directories and the counts change monthly. Prices appear only where the agency prints them.
The list is alphabetical after the first entry. It is not a ranking, because a ranking would need the one thing no list can see: how each agency performs on a project like yours. The 14 questions in our hiring guide are how you find that out.
The 12 agencies
1. Netalico
Offices listed: New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Miami and Columbus. Founded: 2013. Tier stated: Shopify Plus Premier Partner. Named clients: GoTags, Mijenta Tequila, Flying Ostrich, Mellow, Matter HT.
A US-only Shopify Plus development and UX agency with a wide office footprint for its size. Its case studies are heavy on mid-market DTC brands with catalogue and UX rebuilds rather than platform migrations. A sensible first call for a US brand that wants an agency with a presence in its own city. netalico.com
2. Barrel
Office: New York. Founded: 2009. Tier stated: Shopify Platinum Partner. Named clients: McCormick & Company, The Outset, Sweet Loren’s, Once Upon A Farm, OneSkin, Waterloo, Kite Hill.
Barrel describes itself as a CPG commerce agency and its client list backs that up: food, beverage and skincare brands with wholesale and retail alongside DTC. If your Plus store has to sit next to a grocery channel, this is the specialist profile to look for. barrelny.com
3. Bigfolio
Office: Los Angeles, with a Lahore delivery team listed on the site. Founded: not published. Tier stated: Shopify Experts / Shopify Partner. Named clients: Fandiem, Revived Smiles, Nectar Life, KCaps, Dr. Stengler. Publishes prices: yes, “starting at” tiers of $2,500 and $3,000 on the homepage.
Bigfolio is the most visible newer entrant on this search, with a Los Angeles front office and an offshore build team, and it is one of only two agencies here that prints a starting price. Its case studies are small and mid-size DTC brands. bigfolio.co
4. Conspire
Offices listed: Los Angeles, New York and San Diego. Founded: 2011. Tier stated: Shopify Plus Partner. Named clients: Cousins Maine Lobster, Simms Fishing Products, Tillamook Country Smoker, Nature’s Answer, Portola Paints, Zia Tile.
Conspire’s portfolio is unusually specific: supplements, tile and paint, outdoor gear, food. Its case studies include a WooCommerce-to-Shopify-Plus migration written up in detail, which is rarer than it should be. conspireagency.com
5. Craftberry
Office: Varna, Bulgaria, per its own jewelry page; New York appears on the site as well. Founded: 2015. Tier stated: Shopify Premier Partner. Named work: the Shelly Shopify Plus migration, redesign and ongoing CRO programme, written up in three parts.
Craftberry now calls itself an “AI-first ecommerce agency”, and its Plus work leans toward migrations into Plus and internationalisation. If you are moving to Plus from another platform, ask for the Shelly write-ups. craftberry.co
6. DYODE
Office: Fullerton, Orange County, California. Founded: 2016. Tier stated: Shopify Plus Partner and Shopify Premier Partner.
A Southern California agency whose site organises its work by industry and by three stages: diagnose, build, grow. It publishes a dedicated Shopify Plus partner page. Client names are not listed on the pages we checked, so ask for them. dyode.com
7. Eastside Co
Offices listed: London and New York. Founded: 2012. Tier stated: Shopify Platinum Partner. Named clients: UFC Collectibles, DJI, REN Skincare, Cutler and Gross, F1 Authentics, Condor, Gold Collagen.
One of the larger UK-led Plus agencies, with the recognisable-brand list to match and a New York office for US clients. Expect enterprise process and enterprise pricing. eastsideco.com
8. Elogic Commerce
Offices listed: New York, London and Amsterdam. Founded: 2009. Tier stated: Shopify Plus Partner. Named work: Armacell, a B2B self-service portal with complex fulfilment and an SAP integration.
Elogic is a B2B commerce house first and a Shopify Plus agency second, which is exactly right for a manufacturer or distributor moving wholesale onto Plus with an ERP behind it. For a pure DTC brand it is more machinery than you need. elogic.co
9. Makro
Offices listed: Montreal and Miami. Tier stated: Shopify Plus Partner. Named clients: Bio-K+, 360 Cookware (a 134% revenue increase is the headline of that case study), Matt & Nat, Clarius, The Patch Brand, Maddle.
Makro’s tagline is “Shopify Plus agency for complex commerce”, and its case studies are written as before-and-after with a number attached, which makes them easier to check than most. makroagency.com
10. Shero Commerce
Office: Red Hook, New York. Founded: 2010. Tier stated: Shopify Premier Partner. Named clients: Sarris Candies, Regal Cinemas, STX, Vienna Beef, Swag Golf, Alto Music, Memphis Drum Shop, Archer Roose.
Shero’s portfolio is dense with retailers that have physical and online catalogues at once: cinemas, instrument shops, food brands. If your Plus store has to reconcile with stores, POS and a loyalty scheme, that experience is worth more than a badge. sherocommerce.com
11. Swanky
Office: Exeter, UK, with Australian and French presence listed. Founded: 2010. Tier stated: Shopify Platinum Partner. Named clients: Initio Parfums Privés, FutureYou Cambridge, bond-eye swim, Eden Project, Fishpools, daysoft.
A UK-led agency with a long Shopify Plus portfolio page and a design-forward client list. For a US brand the question is time zone; for a brand selling into Europe and Australia it is an advantage. swankyagency.com
12. We Make Websites
Offices listed: London and New York. Founded: 2011. Tier stated: Shopify Plus Partner.
One of the earliest agencies to specialise in Shopify Plus, with a dedicated Plus portfolio page. Client names are not printed on the pages we checked, so ask for the portfolio in the first call. wemakewebsites.com
13. Aqsa Shahzad Official — us, by the same rules
Offices: the company in Sheridan, Wyoming; engineering in Lahore. Named clients: Gene Juarez (Shopify Plus with Zenoti booking), True Glory Hair (Plus, Attentive retention, +27% repeat purchases), CocoLash (+63% organic), OuchieCap (+22% revenue), PawGuard (custom theme, 1.4-second pages). Publishes prices: yes — builds from $50k to $100k, Plus builds with integrations $100k to $200k, custom scoped above that.
What is different about us is structural rather than a badge: the engineer who scopes your build is the one who writes it, the scope and the price are fixed in writing before you pay, and the prices are on the site. The trade-off is honest too: we are small, we do not have a Miami or a Manhattan front office, and if you need forty people on a project we are the wrong call. Our Shopify Plus development page has the full scope; the founder’s note says why it is set up this way.

Also worth a look
Three more agencies hold page-one positions for related searches and were checked the same way: Charle (London and Manchester; Cambridge Satchel, Candy Kittens, Billionaire Boys Club), Domaine (Los Angeles, New York, Amsterdam, London, Toronto, Berlin; made-to-measure and multi-brand builds) and Sleepless Media (Scotts Valley, California; outdoor and CPG brands). None of the three prints a founding year or prices on the pages we reviewed.
How to use this list
Shortlist three, not twelve. Match the portfolio to your problem before you match the badge: a B2B portal with an ERP behind it is Elogic’s territory; a grocery brand with wholesale is Barrel’s; a booking-led service business is ours. Then run the same 14 questions past all three, and get every one of them to put the scope and the price in writing before a contract. The agencies that will not are telling you something.
If your brand is in Florida, Texas, California or New York, the state guides list who actually has people there: Florida first, the others as they publish.
