Shopify agency · Saudi Arabia
Shopify agency in Saudi Arabia, for brands outgrowing Salla and Zid and brands already on Shopify.
Aqsa Shahzad Official is a Shopify Select Partner, since March 2022 and 5.0 in the Partner Directory, with senior engineers in Lahore, two hours ahead of Riyadh. We build Arabic and English storefronts, set up the payments Saudi shoppers use, move stores off Salla and Zid with every URL redirected, and keep them selling through Ramadan, National Day and White Friday.

Two kinds of Saudi brand
Already on Shopify, or about to outgrow Salla and Zid.
Store Leads counts 4,463 live Shopify stores in Saudi Arabia, against 13,262 on Salla and 12,269 on Zid (October 2026).
- 01
On Shopify, and ready to grow
Most of the Saudi stores on Shopify sell apparel (24.7%), beauty and fitness (18.1%) or home and garden (16.2%). The work there is conversion and retention: an Arabic storefront that reads properly from right to left, a checkout with the payment methods Saudi shoppers expect, and the flows that bring the second and third order.
Conversion rate optimisation - 02
On Salla or Zid, and reaching the ceiling
Salla and Zid are where most Saudi brands start, and for good reasons. Brands move when they want one store that sells across the Gulf, a theme built from scratch, B2B price lists, or integrations a larger catalogue needs. We move the whole store: products, customers, orders, content and every URL.
Platform migration
What we build and connect
The technical scope of a Saudi Shopify store, line by line.
Tick what applies in the requirements form. The written scope that comes back prices each line.
- 01Platform migration
Platform and data migration
From Salla, Zid, Magento or WooCommerce to Shopify or Shopify Plus, with nothing left behind.
- Products, variants, options, images and metafields
- Customers, invited to reactivate their accounts, because passwords never transfer between platforms
- Order history, gift card balances and reviews, wherever the old platform exports them
- A 301 redirect for every old product, collection, page and blog address, tested before launch
- Arabic and English URLs kept or redirected one to one
- 02International expansion
Arabic and English storefront
A theme mirrored for right to left in its own code, not an RTL app layered over a left-to-right theme.
- A custom Online Store 2.0 theme, or a rebuild of the one you run now
- Right-to-left navigation, galleries, price blocks, cart drawer and checkout
- Arabic web fonts chosen to stay readable on small phone screens
- Separate Arabic and English URLs with hreflang, so each language can rank
- Translations kept in Translate & Adapt or the translation app your team prefers
- 03Ecommerce development
Payments
Cards run through a local gateway, because Shopify Payments is not offered in Saudi Arabia.
- Tap's Shopify checkout plugin for mada, Apple Pay, Visa and Mastercard
- Tabby and Tamara for instalments
- Cash on delivery, with rules that hide it above a basket value or outside the cities you deliver to
- Gulf shoppers see prices in their currency but pay in riyals: charging in AED, KWD or QAR needs Shopify Payments or Adyen as the gateway, so we settle the gateway in the scope
- 04Custom apps and integrations
VAT, e-invoicing and customer data
Tax, invoices and consent set up to Saudi rules before the first order.
- VAT at the standard 15% rate on prices, checkout and invoices
- ZATCA e-invoicing: Phase 1 since December 2021, and Phase 2 integration with ZATCA's systems, rolled out in waves since January 2023, through an e-invoicing app or your ERP
- Simplified tax invoices for shoppers and full tax invoices for business buyers
- Consent, privacy notices and data handling in line with the Personal Data Protection Law, in force since September 2023
- 05Carrier and 3PL integrations
Shipping and fulfilment
Delivery promises a Saudi customer can rely on, from your own warehouse or a 3PL.
- Carrier connections: SMSA and Aramex both publish Shopify apps, and shipping gateways such as OTO bundle several carriers behind one integration
- Delivery dates and fees by city, with cut-offs set before Eid and White Friday
- Cash-on-delivery reconciliation between carrier, gateway and order records
- Returns and exchanges in Arabic and English
- 06Custom apps and integrations
ERP, POS and marketing
The systems behind the store, connected so that stock, orders and customers agree everywhere.
- ERP: Odoo, SAP Business One or Microsoft Dynamics 365, through an existing connector or a custom app
- Shopify POS for showrooms and pop-ups, sharing stock with the website
- WhatsApp order updates and back-in-stock alerts alongside email and SMS
- Snapchat, TikTok, Meta and Google tracking through Shopify's customer events
- 07App development
Mobile app and custom solutions
Turn the store your customers already buy from into an app on their phone, and build what no App Store app does.
- A branded iOS and Android shopping app on your Shopify store: the same products, prices, stock and orders, with the payment step in Shopify's own Checkout Kit, so mada, Tabby, Tamara and every other method you take works in the app too
- Customer sign-in through Shopify customer accounts, so order history and saved addresses follow the customer from the website to the app
- Push messages in Arabic and English for restocks, carts left behind, order updates and app-only offers, so repeat customers come back without paying for the click again
- Custom Shopify apps for logic no public app covers: bundles, B2B price rules, warranties, bookings or an ERP sync
- Admin tools and dashboards for your team, built on the same store data
- 08Shopify Plus development
Shopify Plus features
Where Plus earns its fee for a Saudi brand that has outgrown a standard plan.
- Checkout UI extensions on the information, shipping and payment steps
- Custom apps built on Shopify Functions for discount, delivery and payment rules
- Expansion stores for a separate UAE or GCC entity
- Higher API limits for ERP and marketplace syncs at volume
- 09Speed optimisation
Speed and launch QA
Tested the way Saudi shoppers buy: on a phone, in Arabic, with every payment method.
- Core Web Vitals measured on a mid-range Android over mobile data
- A right-to-left QA pass on iOS Safari, Android Chrome and Samsung Internet
- A test order with each payment method and carrier before launch
- Checkout and load tests in the weeks before White Friday

Pick a call time nowThe Saudi retail calendar
Ready for the season a month before it starts.
The peaks that decide a Saudi store’s year, and what has to be live before each one.
| Season | When | What is live before it |
|---|---|---|
| Founding Day | 22 February | Heritage collections and campaign pages, a week before |
| Ramadan | About 11 days earlier each year, with the Hijri calendar | Gift sets, evening shopping, delivery cut-offs set for Eid |
| Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha | At the end of Ramadan, and about ten weeks later | Gift cards, delivery dates by city, extra support cover |
| Saudi National Day | 23 September | Green-and-white campaign pages and limited editions |
| White Friday | November | Code freeze, speed and checkout tested under load |
Our BFCM readiness audit covers the November freeze in detail; the same timeline works for Ramadan, moved to the Hijri calendar.
Salla and Zid to Shopify
Moving off Salla or Zid without losing the rankings or the customers.
One fixed number and a launch date in writing before anything is billed.
- 01
Read the store
Export products, variants, customers and orders; list every app and integration; crawl every URL the store has ever published.
- 02
Rebuild it on Shopify
The Arabic and English theme, the payment gateway, shipping and tax, built on a staging store you can click through every week.
- 03
Map every URL
Each old Salla or Zid address gets a redirect to its new Shopify page, tested before launch, so search rankings and shared links carry over.
- 04
Launch outside the peak
No cut-over in Ramadan or the White Friday weeks. Customer passwords never move between platforms, so customers get an invitation to activate their account.
- 05
Stay on after launch
Thirty days of defect support, then a retainer with a written scope, or nothing. Retainers start at $1,500 a month.
Larger builds are priced as one written number; the Shopify Plus packages page shows how a full build is scoped, and the retainers page lists the monthly tiers. How a platform migration runs.

Questions Saudi brands ask before the first meeting.
Is Shopify Payments available in Saudi Arabia?
No. Saudi Arabia is not on Shopify's list of supported countries (the UAE is). Saudi stores take cards through a third-party gateway such as Tap, which publishes a Shopify checkout plugin for mada, Apple Pay, Visa and Mastercard. Tabby and Tamara add instalments, and cash on delivery remains available as a manual payment method.
How long does a move from Salla or Zid to Shopify take?
A standard build runs eight to fourteen weeks, depending on the integrations; a migration adds the time it takes to reconcile customers, orders and redirects. The date is in the written scope, and we plan the launch so it does not land in Ramadan or the White Friday weeks.
Will we lose our Google rankings when we move?
Not if every old URL redirects to the right new one. We crawl the Salla or Zid store, map every product, collection and content page to its Shopify address, and test the map before launch. Rankings usually wobble for a few weeks after any move; a complete redirect map is what brings them back.
Do you write the Arabic copy, or translate the English?
The Arabic storefront is built for Arabic from the start, with the layout mirrored in the theme. The words are best written or reviewed by a native Arabic speaker, your team or a translator you trust; machine translation is a useful first draft, not a finished storefront.
What does it cost?
Retainers start at $1,500 a month for a senior engineer on your store. A migration or a full build is priced as one written number after we have read the store, sized to the catalogue and integrations rather than to a rate card.
Where is your team, and when can we talk?
Our engineers are in Lahore, two hours ahead of Riyadh: a 10:00 call in Riyadh is noon in our office. Calls are booked in Riyadh time, and every brief gets a written reply within twelve hours.
Can we meet in person?
Yes: we are booking meetings at LEAP 2027 in Riyadh, 12 to 15 April, at RECC Malham. Request a slot on this page, or book a video call if you would rather not wait until April.
Can you connect our ERP, POS or 3PL?
Yes. Odoo, SAP Business One and Microsoft Dynamics 365 connect through existing connectors or a custom app, depending on how much logic the sync needs; carriers such as SMSA and Aramex publish Shopify apps, and a shipping gateway such as OTO can bundle several. Name the systems in the requirements form and the scope prices each connection.
Do you handle ZATCA e-invoicing?
Yes, as part of the build. Phase 1 has applied since December 2021 and Phase 2 integration with ZATCA's systems has rolled out in waves since January 2023. Invoices are issued from the store's orders through an e-invoicing app or your ERP, with simplified invoices for shoppers and full tax invoices for business buyers.
Can you turn our store into a mobile app?
Yes. We build a branded iOS and Android app on your Shopify store, so products, prices, stock and orders stay in one place. The app reads the catalogue and cart through Shopify's Storefront API and hands payment to Shopify's Checkout Kit, so shoppers get the same checkout, payment methods and order records as on the website. Customers sign in with their store account, and push messages in Arabic and English bring them back for restocks, carts left behind and app-only offers. Tick "A mobile shopping app" in the requirements form and the scope prices it as its own line.
Can we start before LEAP?
Yes. Choose an online call in the form and we can begin this week: a call to walk through the scope, then a written number within a week. LEAP in April is a chance to meet in person, not a reason to wait.
