Zenoti Alternatives (2026): Boulevard, Mangomint, Vagaro, Mindbody, Fresha and SalonIQ Compared

Six Zenoti alternatives compared from their own sites: who each suits, published prices, booking on your website and which ones work with a Shopify store.

Zenoti does not print a price. Its pricing page shows two plan cards, Zenoti OS and AI Workforce, and each one leads to “Get a Quote”; multi-location pricing is set by footprint, and messaging is billed by use. That is a common reason salon and spa owners start looking at other systems, and the six covered here are the ones that come up most often: Boulevard, Mangomint, Vagaro, Mindbody, Fresha and SalonIQ.

For each one we read the vendor’s own pricing page, help articles and developer documentation on 3 November 2026, and checked the Shopify App Store for a listing. The comparison covers who each system is built for, what it publishes as a price, how booking sits on your own website, and what happens when retail runs on a Shopify store. Prices are shown as each vendor printed them; several vary by region or carry time-limited offers, which are noted.

Key takeaways

  • Zenoti is the only system here whose help center sends retail to Shopify: Webstore V2 sells services, memberships, packages and gift cards, and product sales need the Shopify integration.
  • Boulevard and Mangomint also connect to Shopify. Boulevard syncs stock both ways through a custom app; Mangomint has a free App Store app that syncs inventory counts by SKU.
  • We found no Shopify integration from Vagaro, Fresha or SalonIQ. Mindbody’s own marketplace lists third-party Shopify connectors rather than one it builds.
  • Published prices on 3 November: Mangomint $120 per location plus $10 per user each month; Boulevard Essentials $143 a month on annual billing; Vagaro from $30 a month for one location; Mindbody from $79 a month in North America; SalonIQ from £47 a month.
  • Public API access differs widely. Zenoti customers create their own API keys, Boulevard’s APIs are for Enterprise-tier customers only, Mindbody charges after 1,000 calls a day, and Mangomint, Fresha and SalonIQ publish no public API documentation.

Zenoti: the system being replaced

Zenoti describes itself as built for growing salons, spas, medspas, fitness centers and barbershops, from one location up to franchise groups, and claims more than 30,000 businesses in over 50 countries. It offers an embeddable booking widget for your own website, and lists Reserve with Google alongside booking from Facebook and Instagram pages.

Online, Zenoti’s Webstore V2 sells appointments, memberships, packages and gift cards. Physical products are the exception: its help center states that to sell products on Webstore V2, the business must integrate Shopify. Each Shopify SKU has to equal the Zenoti product code, sales lower Zenoti stock, and single sign-on from the Webstore into Shopify works on Shopify Plus only. Product variants are not supported. For developers, a Zenoti admin creates the API key under Admin, Setup, Apps, and the documented standard limit is 60 calls per minute.

Boulevard

Boulevard sells to salons, spas, medspas and barbers, with separate pages for multi-location and franchise groups, and says it serves more than 85,000 self-care professionals. Essentials, the single-location plan, was $143 a month on annual billing for salons and spas on 3 November. Premier was $234 and Prestige $328 per location a month, both marked as a limited-time fall price for new customers in place of $293 and $410. Enterprise is priced on a consultation, and the medspa tab shows its own, higher prices.

Booking runs as an overlay on your own site, and gift cards and memberships can be sold online. The Shopify integration is a custom app the merchant creates in the Shopify admin. Stock quantities move both ways, product details flow from Shopify to Boulevard only, every Shopify variant becomes a separate Boulevard product, and syncing gift cards needs Shopify Plus. Boulevard’s developer portal says only Enterprise-tier customers have access to its APIs and custom apps.

Mangomint

Mangomint covers hair and nail salons, medspas, skincare and massage studios, spas and wellness centers, and pitches itself to groups of 2 to 20 locations. It publishes one price: $120 a month per location and $10 per user, with phone lines at $70 a month, marketing from $30 a month and payroll at $50 a month plus $8 per worker. It states no contracts, free onboarding and free data transfer. Card processing is 2.45% + 15¢ in person and 2.90% + 30¢ online.

Booking embeds on your website, and gift cards, memberships and packages sell through the site and the booking flow. For Shopify, Mangomint has a free App Store app, launched in October 2023 and still without reviews, that keeps inventory counts in step using SKUs. Its help center says the sync covers inventory levels only. We found no public API documentation; Mangomint lists a webhooks integration that sends appointment and sale events to other apps.

Vagaro

Vagaro’s pricing page lists salons, spas, barbershops, medspas, nail and tattoo studios, fitness, wellness and pet grooming. A single location was $30 a month, shown at $23.99 for the first six months, and each extra bookable calendar costs $10, up to seven. There is a 30-day free trial and no cancellation fee, with exclusions the page does not list. Groups with several locations are priced by its sales team.

Vagaro generates an HTML booking widget for your website and runs its own online store for services, gift cards, products, packages and memberships, which needs its card processing and its online shopping cart. We found no Shopify integration in its help center or on the App Store. Its developer site documents public APIs, with credentials in the business’s developer settings and webhooks enabled through its enterprise sales team.

Mindbody

Mindbody, owned by Playlist, lists fitness first (yoga, gyms, barre), then beauty and wellness, and says more than 40,000 businesses run on it. Its plans, Starter, Accelerate and Ultimate, show no price on the cards; the pricing FAQ gives a starting price of $79 a month in North America and Asia, with no onboarding fee. Processing is a rate plus a fixed fee of $0.10 to $0.30 per transaction.

Class schedules and appointment booking embed on your own website. Mindbody does not build a Shopify integration; its integrations marketplace lists connectors from other developers. Its API is open to developers who join the program, with the business granting access by link or code; the first 1,000 calls a day are free and each call after that costs a third of a cent.

Fresha

Fresha targets hair salons, spas, nail salons, barbershops, medspas and massage therapists, from independent professionals up to enterprise groups. Its pricing page shows prices by region; its own US buyer’s guide, last updated 9 January 2026, lists $19.95 a month for a one-person business and $14.95 per team member a month. A new client booked through the Fresha marketplace costs a one-time 20% commission on that first appointment.

Bookings come through shareable links for your website, social pages or a QR code. We found no Shopify integration on Fresha’s site or in the App Store, and no public API; its data connector add-on is a one-way export to analytics tools.

SalonIQ

SalonIQ is a UK system that counts over 2,500 salons and more than 180 groups among its users. Its price depends on how many staff take bookings, starting at £47 monthly for one stylist; setup starts at £175 + VAT, and cancelling takes 60 days’ notice. Retail sells through its own E-Shop upgrade, and Shopify is not mentioned anywhere we looked on its site. Our Zenoti vs SalonIQ comparison covers the two side by side.

Which alternatives work with a Shopify store

If the website and retail already run on Shopify, the choice narrows quickly. Three systems connect to it, each in a different way:

  • Zenoti treats Shopify as its retail channel. Sales post back to Zenoti as invoices and stock changes, but stock edited in Zenoti has to be synced to Shopify by hand. The full list of what it connects to is in our guide to Zenoti integrations.
  • Boulevard has the deepest stock sync of the three, in both directions, but flattens variants into separate products and keeps its API for Enterprise customers.
  • Mangomint syncs inventory counts only. Orders placed on Shopify are not recorded as sales in Mangomint.

With Vagaro, Fresha or SalonIQ, a Shopify store can still link to the booking page or embed the booking widget, but products, stock and gift cards stay in two separate systems.

How to choose

  • One location, small team, price-sensitive: Vagaro and Fresha publish the lowest entry prices; Mangomint’s flat per-location price is the easiest to forecast.
  • Several locations with retail on Shopify: Zenoti or Boulevard, the two with a real two-system connection.
  • Classes as well as appointments: Mindbody, which was built around class schedules.
  • A UK salon group: SalonIQ, priced in pounds by staff count.

Gene Juarez, a Washington group with 13 salon and spa locations, stayed on Zenoti and moved its storefront to Shopify Plus. The case study shows guests reaching Zenoti booking in less than a second, with the homepage LCP at 1,200 ms. We should say that Gene Juarez is our client: the Shopify Plus theme and its Zenoti connection were built by our team. If you are keeping Zenoti and want the same, our Zenoti Shopify integration page explains the build, and the result is written up in the Gene Juarez case study.

FAQ

What is the best alternative to Zenoti?

It depends on the business. For a multi-location group that sells retail on Shopify, Boulevard is the closest match, with a two-way stock sync through a custom app. For one location on a budget, Vagaro and Fresha publish the lowest prices, and Mindbody suits studios that run classes as well as appointments.

How much does Zenoti cost compared with its alternatives?

Zenoti publishes no price; every plan leads to a quote. On 3 November 2026, Mangomint listed $120 per location plus $10 per user a month, Boulevard Essentials $143 a month on annual billing, Vagaro from $30 a month, Mindbody from $79 a month in North America and SalonIQ from £47 a month.

Which salon software integrates with Shopify?

Zenoti uses Shopify for retail sales from its Webstore, Boulevard syncs products, stock and gift cards through a custom Shopify app, and Mangomint syncs inventory counts through a free App Store app. We found no Shopify integration from Vagaro, Fresha or SalonIQ, and Mindbody relies on connectors built by other developers.

Does Boulevard have an API?

Yes, but Boulevard’s developer portal says only Enterprise-tier customers have access to its APIs and custom apps. Zenoti, by comparison, lets an admin create an API key in its own settings, with a standard limit of 60 calls per minute.

Can I keep Zenoti and still sell products online?

Yes, through Shopify. Zenoti’s Webstore V2 sells services, memberships, packages and gift cards, and its help center says product sales need the Shopify integration. Each Shopify SKU must match the Zenoti product code, and each sale updates Zenoti stock and the guest’s invoice.
