Pet is a replenishment category with a twist: the buyer does not know the product name, only the dog. Food and supplement brands live on subscriptions; hardware brands — fences, trackers, beds — live on filters that decide with the buyer. Few Shopify Plus agencies name pet clients on their own sites. This list is the ones that do, checked on 26 September 2026, with the results they publish, and our own pet launch under the same rule.
Key takeaways
- Four agencies below name pet brands on their own pages; one (ShopCreatify) publishes a pet result — an 18% year-over-year conversion improvement and 12% more repeat purchases for Small Pet Select. Swanky has the longest pet client list in the category.
- The pet-specific questions are subscriptions and decision filters: does the store re-order the food, and does it help a buyer choose by dog size and garden rather than by SKU.
- Our pet proof is PawGuard: a wireless dog-fence brand launched from zero on a fully custom theme, buyer-led homepage filters, 108 brand images, Shopify Markets from day one and a verified 1.4-second page speed.
The agencies
Swanky — Exeter, UK (with France and Australia)
Founded 2010, a stated Shopify Platinum Partner, with a dedicated pet-ecommerce page naming Lily’s Kitchen, YuMOVE (subscription and conversion optimisation), Catit (migration and internationalisation), Natural Instinct (B2B migration), Forthglade, Farrell’s, Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, Animal Aid, Glucanine, AOK9 and Nutriment. The most experienced pet portfolio on this search; no per-brand results published on the page. swankyagency.com
ShopCreatify — location not published
A Shopify Experts agency dating itself to 2014, whose Small Pet Select case study — hay, food and supplies for rabbits and guinea pigs — describes a custom Shopify Plus store with loyalty and autoship, a WordPress blog integration and a mobile-first redesign, with published results of an 18% year-over-year conversion-rate improvement and a 12% increase in repeat purchases. The page does not state a location or a partner tier, so ask. shopcreatify.com
Digital Heroes — New York and New Delhi
Offices at 1140 Broadway, New York and Connaught Place, New Delhi, with London, Lucknow and Sydney listed; a stated Shopify Premier Partner with a pet industry page. Its one pet case study is a “pet food subscription archetype” with no brand named and no results stated — ask for the brand. digitalheroesco.com
Solo Media Group — New York, Los Angeles, Miami
Self-described full-service Shopify Platinum agency whose case-study index includes Wonder Paws. No pet results published. solomediagroup.com
Aqsa Shahzad Official — Sheridan, Wyoming and Lahore
PawGuard is the pet build: Ireland’s newest wireless dog-fence brand, launched on 1 July 2026 under a retail group’s portfolio into a market legacy US names have owned for decades — a fully custom theme on the standard Shopify plan, homepage filters built around the buyer’s decision points (dog size, garden, barking versus escaping), 108 brand images across 15 SKUs, Shopify Markets from day one, a verified 1.4-second page speed. It has become the launch package we run for new DTC brands. The method is in Shopify for pet brands; the prices are on the packages page; the scope on the Shopify Plus development page.
What to ask a pet agency
- Does the store re-order the food? Ask for a live store with subscriptions running, what share of orders are on autoship, and how a missed delivery is handled.
- Does the homepage decide with the buyer? Size, breed, garden, indoor or outdoor — filters coded into the theme, one tap to the right product, not a SKU list.
- Can it ship across a border? Pet brands cross borders early. Ask for a store with Shopify Markets on and how weight-based shipping and local animal-welfare rules were handled.
- What is the number? One agency here publishes a pet result. Ask each for one, with its source.

Shortlist from the two with published pet work plus one more, ask the four pet questions and the 14 general ones, and compare written scopes. The 12-agency comparison has the wider field; the beauty and jewelry lists are the other verticals.
